A new look with an older linen jacket

One of the beauties of a cohesive wardrobe is that it’s easy to remix pieces to create new outfits. I borrowed the top half from one outfit and the bottom half from another to create this polished casual look. This linen jacket outfit is relaxed and comfortable, but feels dressed up enough for going out.

I purchased the jacket (pre-owned) from Eileen Fisher Renew about three years ago, and haven’t worn it much. I love the shape and fit, but it always felt too dull when paired with other neutrals. But the floral print top adds the pop of color I think it needs.

Celebrating milestones…

Today is une femme’s 15th blogaversary!!! I began blogging in 2007, hoping to start a conversation about style for those of us over 50. Thanks to all of you, I’m delighted to be part of an intelligent, thoughtful, supportive, and engaged community who keeps the conversation going!
I never imagined when I started writing all those years ago that the blog would evolve to what it is today, or that it would lead to a reinvention in my 60’s. I plan to keep going as long as I’m enjoying the process and feel that what I’m doing is helpful to you. And I’m looking forward to expanding into offering individualized styling services in a few weeks! More on that soon…

And tomorrow is our 27th wedding anniversary! We’re celebrating with dinner out tonight, as jeune homme will be with us for the weekend. We both have a lot more gray hair these days. 😆 (The dress was rented, have no idea who the designer was, but I was quite pleased with it.)
