HEADING TO THE GREAT OUTDOORS IN STYLE
My daughter loves the outdoors, and she is missing the hikes that she took while living in Alaska. She regularly walked to Mendenhall Glacier, so I can see how she might be disappointed in a hike around the neighborhood. But, I am trying to go on walks and short hikes with her to keep her happy and keep me active.
I’ve been maintaining my weight loss, but I’m ready to shed a few more pounds before summer. Exercise is one area that I am going to ramp up in because I want to tone this saggy skin. I’m also ramping up my water intake, which will also help with the saggy skin, and has the added bonus of helping with weight loss and the look of your skin. If you’re interested in what I’ve been doing to lose weight, you can read about it in a post I did in December.
Matchy-matchy is a style that I’ve always loved. I love sweater sets, and I am thrilled to see that tracksuits are also back in style. I’m wearing a white v-neck performance t-shirt from Athletic Works that is part of a 2-pack. The one that I bought is a black/white combo, but there are other combos to choose from. This v-neck t-shirt is one that I can wear to the gym or with any casual outfit. You can never have too many white tees!
I’m wearing a large because I don’t like my t-shirts to be tight when I’m working out. I really like the tee and I can’t see my bra through it. Make sure that you always wear nude undergarments when wearing a white top or pants. My favorite bra is the bra-llelujah from Spanx because it fits great, has wide straps, and does a great job of controlling my back fat.
I love the sporty look of this color block sweatshirt. The sweatshirt is super warm and cozy, especially the inside fleece that is against your skin. This is a nice weight sweatshirt, so it will be great for walks when the weather is still chilly. The fig color is such a gorgeous shade, but there are a couple of other colors available. I’m wearing a size large, and it fits great. I do think this is a slimmer fit than some sweatshirts I’ve worn before, so take that into consideration.
Other than having a big string hanging on my pants, I love these color block joggers. These are the matching joggers to the sweatshirt above, and they have the same soft, cozy fleece lining. I’m thrilled that the joggers have two pockets, so you can stow away your keys or phone while you are exercising. The pants are also a large, and that is the correct size for me.
These black/white Avia Women’s Tech Runner sneakers are comfy and great for shopping while I’ll be on my feet for hours. The sneakers run true to size, and are under $25!
I added a pair of Under Armour No Show socks to my shoes. I bought this 6-pack of socks around Christmas when I was out shopping, and I’ve worn them almost daily since then. I think I’ll order another 6-pack, but in white so that they can go with any shoe or outfit that I’m wearing.
Here are a few other items that I spied from Reebok.
