Unique Sneakers in Style for Spring 2022 with Jambu
This time of year has me yearning for more color since the weather is warming up. So imagine my surprise when Jambu introduced these unique sneakers for Spring 2022. I feel like they have my name written all over them.
Quote of the day: “Imagination, not intelligence, made us human.” Terry Pratchett
This time of year is when new styles arrive with many shoe companies, and we have been working with Jambu for more than 4 years now. It’s a match made in heaven since older women demand comfortable shoes, and Jambu gives us that along with fun styles.
Of course, just because I love unique and colorful items doesn’t mean everyone does. That’s why it’s always so convenient that you get three of us for the price of one. You can see how Charlotte styled her choice of sneakers for spring from Jambu.
But even better than that, Jambu has many other options on its site.
Since this is primarily about the sneakers for spring, I’ll start with those details first and then give you all of the information about the overall outfit.
This is a sponsored post with Jambu Footwear. Details about what that means is at the end of the post. We work with them yearly because of their comfort. My discount code for the Spring 2022 period is JTOUCHS22 which you can use on any of the shoes on Jambu’s website until May 22, 2022.
If you are new to Jambu, then let me give you some background about the company. The Jambu line is all about comfort and style. Each shoe has memory foam insoles and there are options available in wide widths.
Many of their shoes have received the APMA Seal of Acceptance for promoting good foot health through supportive and durable constructions.
One of the hard things about purchasing shoes online is not knowing how they will fit. Since shoes can’t be altered like clothing can, that’s why these reviews can be so helpful.
As for their return policy, I love what they say: “We think life should be an adventure, but returning your shoes shouldn’t be! We’ve made it easy.” You can return shoes within 30 days of purchasing.
Another fabulous aspect about Jambu is their reward program because once you get a pair, you will want more. It’s easy to join, and you get 100 points just for signing up. After that, you can earn more rewards with every purchase AND on your birthday.
The rewards are easy to use also. You can get free shipping just with 100 points (which you’ll have after you sign up for the program), and then the more points you accumulate, the bigger discounts you save.
Insider tip: They also have a repurposing program available. Shoes can be donated back to Jambu where they will either donate them to their partner, Project Sole, or broken down to be repurposed into new products. The best part is then you’ll get a $10 credit for your next purchase.

Jenny Knit Sneakers Information
These are a new style for Jambu just this season, and I had to try them out. That’s why you won’t see many (if any) reviews on their site yet.
Here is the important information that you might need.
1-Even though there are laces, they don’t need to be tied and untied each time. I would consider them more of a slip-on, and the tab on the back helps with that.
2-Sock-like design with mesh on the side.
3-It doesn’t say the weight, but these are similar to my pair of Lilac sneakers which is 8 oz.
4-Non-slip All Terra traction rubber sole.
5-Received the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance for promoting good foot health.
6-Comfort bumps at the upper heel area to prevent slippage.
7-Relax foam insole (not removable).
There are many color selections if you aren’t digging the multi-colored ones that I am wearing. There is black, cream, navy and white. These multi-colored ones are a combination of orange, brown, blue, and white.
Insider tip: If you didn’t like the brown shoelaces, you could easily switch them out to white ones.
Review of the Jenny Knit
I was in love when I saw these colorful sneakers for spring in the Jambu Spring 2022 collection. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate good neutral sneakers also, but since I already have those in my closet, it was nice to add a colorful pair also.
To share about my feet first, I am a size 7M and don’t have any issues finding good-fitting shoes. I do have custom-made orthotics from 35 years ago that I don’t wear often. My arch is not high nor low and I do have bunions on both feet. The bunions don’t hurt.
My original thought when I put these Jenny Knit sneakers on my feet was “yay” because the insoles make them comfortable.
While I tend not to tie and untie my sneakers unless I HAVE to, it’s one of the advantages of this shoe. Once you get the ties where you want them, they are easy enough to slip on and off without having to tie them again.
I will caution that the laces don’t tighten in a huge amount so if you have a narrow foot, that could be an issue. These also don’t come in a wide width. Jambu does have some selections in wide. Click on Jambu’s link and search for wide to see what they have.
There are these amazing cushions in the upper heel area that Lesley pointed out to me. They make it so your heel doesn’t slide around or and the sneaker material doesn’t rub a blister on your heel.
While it’s no surprise that these are comfortable since that is the whole idea behind Jambu’s footwear, I just love this Jenny Knit style. The colors and different textures provide a funky vibe.
BTW, I am wearing my no-show Sheec socks with the shoes. Since the sneakers have a higher vamp, I was able to wear the Active-X Mid-cut style.
The Overall Outfit with these Sneakers for Spring
With the bright colors in the Jenny Knit sneakers, I wanted to wear bright-colored clothing too. The weather required layering, but that didn’t stop the fun. The other factor is we were exploring Tombstone, Arizona this day, so I needed a casual and comfy look.
I recently found these pants while thrifting, so I paired them with the colorful striped tank top. Since the day was chilly, I layered a white hoodie under the tank top, and then a light wash denim jacket over it.
Of course, I added in accessories and a purse, and I was good to go.
The Jewelry and the Purse
Since we would be walking around, I wanted to be able to wear my purse across my body if I needed to. The original strap for this mint purse wasn’t long enough, so I just switched it out to a longer, silver chain strap.
Insider tip: Many of our purse straps can be interchanged. In fact, it’s one of my hacks for purses. The nice thing about a thinner metal strap like this is it doesn’t stand out as much and detract from the overall look.
While it’s not required to only have one type of metal in your outfit, I decided to wear silver earrings and a silver bracelet. I also wore a heart pin on my denim jacket pocket that brings more color to the outer layer of the look.
The Tank Top and Pants
I thought these pants and tank top went so well together. Yet I didn’t buy them at the same time, and you might laugh at their original “categories”.
The orange pants are from Ann Taylor and are business pants. I just cuffed them up to make them seem more casual.
It’s no different than the idea of wearing your workwear pieces into retirement. Just because you wore it for one occasion, doesn’t mean you can wear it for other events.
Insider tip: Work hard at training your brain to think of clothing by its color and description instead of categorizing it. These wonderful orange pants could even be worn for a dressy event with the right top and heels.
This tank top was an inexpensive buy, and even though it’s spaghetti straps, I knew I could make it work one of two ways.
1-Using my tricks from this post
2-Wearing my favorite strapless bra (#12) in this post.
The funny thing is when I got the tank top home and read the label, it’s actually a sleepwear top. Another reminder that my insider tip above is priceless. I bet you’d never know it was meant to sleep in.
The lighter wash denim jacket was the cherry on top. I could easily have worn my white denim or darker denim jacket too, but I liked the shorter version of this one so the tank top hangs out under it.
