CASUAL FRIDAY STYLE WITH TAUPE CUFFED JEANS
The week sure has flown by, and it has been a lot of fun. I’ve slept, relaxed, and eaten more than I ever thought possible. Lol! It took a while to get used to the mode of transportation here in San Pedro. There are very few cars but lots of golf carts, motorcycles, and bicycles. We rented a golf cart while we were here, and we traveled up and down the island’s length, trying to take it all in.
The roads are concrete, so the dust isn’t bad while you’re driving. But, there are a lot of grooves in the roads, potholes, and speed bumps that will jar the teeth out of your head if you hit them too fast. Joe didn’t see one in the road till the last minute, and he stomped on the break. We skidded to a stop just in time and then gently went over the bump. I laughed and told him that was the first time I had ever heard a golf cart’s tires squeal.
I love tunics since you can wear them with leggings without feeling self-conscious. But, I can sometimes struggle to wear them with pants and jeans because I feel like they make my legs look short. Whenever I wear a long tunic, I will usually do a half-tuck to try and elongate my legs. I loved this floral pintuck tunic top, but it is too big for me and has already sold out. I ordered a medium, but a small would have been a better fit. Since every size has sold out, I’ll try to link to some similar tops that would give you a similar look.
You can see how long this tunic is in this photo. This is why they are great for wearing with leggings.
The color of these High-Rise Patch-Pocket Cuffed Jeans is called light taupe grey. I mentioned the color because I don’t see grey in these jeans. I love the patch pockets and the tacked cuff (no worrying about getting the cuffs even) of these relaxed jeans. These are the kind of jeans you can wear all summer long, and they are a great blend of chinos and jeans. These run large, so I ordered a 6, and they fit me great. The jeans are also available in a coriander color and a medium wash.
I love a denim jacket, and you will hear me repeatedly say that everyone needs one of these in their wardrobe. They are a versatile clothing staple, and you can wear them in at least three seasons of the year.
This denim jacket by Wrangler can be styled with a dress, shorts, pants, or a jumpsuit. The jacket is lightweight and unlined, and I love the fit and style. On cold mornings and chilly evenings, this gives me the right amount of coverage to keep me warm. I am wearing a large, and it fits great.
I’m wearing a leather cuff bracelet that my sister made for me as a Christmas present. She asked mom for some of dads belts he was no longer wearing. Then she cut them, added a closure, and adorned them with decorations that meant something to each of the people she was gifting the bracelets to. Mine has a brooch attached that was my grandmother’s, making the bracelet extra special.
I’m also wearing the Adeline Hoop earrings and a Cable Loop Bracelet by David Yurman. The large oversized sunglasses are one of a 3-pack. These are non-polarized, but they do have 100% UV protection. Plus, they are only $20.00 for the 3-pack, so they are inexpensive also. The belt I’m wearing is an old one, but I’ll see if I can find something similar for you.
The last part of my outfit would be my Tory Burch Minnie Ballet Flats. I wear these flats all the time since they match almost anything. I am wearing my usual size 9 in these flats, and I think they run true to size.
