SPOTLIGHT ON TWO BRANDS
SPOTLIGHT ON TWO BRANDS
Happy Good Friday and Easter Weekend! What do you all have planned? We have several family get-togethers starting tonight. Our younger son and his wife have the coolest bungalow in an area called Bishop Arts in Dallas. They have done so much work to it, and they are hosting their first big family dinner tonight. My daughter-in-law is the most creative person I know, and she has the most beautiful Instagram here; for a glimpse of how cool she is! We have tomorrow night off, but we will all get together again for dinner on Sunday to celebrate Easter. I love being with my family!
Today, I wanted to spotlight two brands I love and have for a while. The first is AYR (which stands for All Year Round). If you have never heard of AYR, let me tell you how I found them. I was reading an issue of Vogue about five or so years ago and read that this denim brand was the favorite of Vogue. It has also been featured on Oprah’s favorite things and by so many magazines and people. I immediately ordered the Bomb Pop (now called The Pop) jeans and was hooked. AYR has since expanded into more than just denim. I love that this brand is sustainable and is female-founded and independently operated since 2016. One of the founders is a grandmother and can be seen featured in their campaigns.
To be honest, I hadn’t bought a pair of AYR jeans in a while, but they came out with a new style, and I wanted to try it. I am crazy about the pair I am wearing. They are so comfortable and flattering. I ordered my regular size, and they fit like a dream! I think they have a “California” relaxed vibe. I also ordered their best-selling shirt (which comes in several other colors, ordering the Mac N Cheese next), perfect for Spring and Summer. I love the description they give about this shirt. “This shirt was a banker on Wall Street until she cashed out and started a new career as a florist on Nantucket. Spends her days lounging on weather-worn furniture, drinking expensive wine, and smelling like fresh hydrangea.” Doesn’t it make you want this shirt in every color and be that woman in the description? Check out the rest of what AYR has on the website.
I have talked about the second brand before, but they have come out with a new bag, and I love it. LEATHEROLOGY is a favorite leather brand started by a brother/sister team in Dallas. Their pieces are amazing, and I love them for gift-giving for birthdays and Christmas (I gave this for Christmas gifts last year). My new bag has a structured silhouette and can stand on its own with four metal feet. It has a magnetic closure, removable strap, zippered interior pocket, and an interior D-ring with a leather strap for keys. This is a great size bag for running around and comes in a bigger size and more colors. Most of the leather pieces from Leatherology can be personalized, and with Mother’s Day and graduations (lots of items for guys too) quickly approaching, these make the best gifts!
I bought these leather mule sandals while in Los Angeles a few weeks back at the IRO store. Wouldn’t you know that they don’t offer them in cream on the website? I linked the black ones and a few other similar options. I would call an Iro store and ask if you need the cream color. So sorry!
I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Easter weekend! HE is Risen!
Stay well and be safe! xoxo
