WHAT TO WEAR FOR EASTER 2022
Easter is only a few days away, and I am already thinking about what to wear. I usually have a couple of outfits in mind, and I decide which one I will wear depending on the weather. The sun might be shining bright, or it could be cold and rainy, so I have two outfits on standby.
Today, a good blogging friend is joining me and will also show her Easter outfits. Jo-Lynne Shane and I have collaborated for several years, and I think we have covered most of the Holidays except for Christmas and Halloween. She was one of the main reasons I started blogging and was one of the first bloggers to do a collaboration post with me. Guess what that post was about….it was on Easter outfits! So, it’s appropriate that we partner again together, and I know you will love her choices.
Growing up, I always got a pretty new dress for Easter, and that tradition has stuck with me. I love a beautiful dress for Easter, I can wear it later, but it makes Easter seem extra special. I love that this Butterfly Wings Wrap Dress has chiffon sleeves that give me coverage for my arms but aren’t hot if the sun shines. This dress is feminine and has a flowy silhouette. I’m wearing a medium, and the dress fits great.
As you walk, you might get a glimpse of your leg. You can add a safety pin to make sure that a glimpse of leg is all that you see. Lol! The dress is lined, so you don’t have to worry about it being see-through.
Here is a photo so you can see the gold metallic stripe that runs throughout the dress. I decided to add the square toe Gold Platform Sandals with the wraparound straps. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the square toe look might be growing on me. I love the look of these sandals, but my daughter asked me if I was going to the prom. Lol! I found that I needed to size up a half size; I’m wearing a 9 1/2.
As we get older, our priorities can change. Buying a pretty new dress for Easter may not be the way you want to go, especially if you can’t see yourself getting more wear from the item. Instead, you might opt to wear something comfortable and something you could wear more often.
My children are grown with their own children, so I no longer have to worry about hiding eggs. As a grandmother, I can sit back and enjoy watching the grandchildren hunt for eggs without doing any of the work. I still like to participate in the Easter Egg hunts, so even if I wear a dress for an Easter church service, I’ll change into an outfit with pants once I get home. I don’t like chasing after the Grands in a dress; that is not even close to being fun. Lol!
This cute and springy outfit would be great for Easter Sunday or watching an egg hunt. I love the Peri Falls Eyelet Ruffle Top; it is adorable and comfortable. This style top looks great worn alone, but it is also great for layering under a blazer. The sleeves might create more of an issue if you wanted to wear the top with a sweater cardigan, but it works fine with a denim jacket or blazer.
Sunny days are ahead in the Lemon Linen-Blend Striped Blazer. This blazer is by Draper James RSVP, and it is beautiful in every way. I love the way this blazer fits, but I think it runs a tad bit small. I’m wearing a medium, and even though I can button the blazer, I think I would like the fit better if it was a tiny bit larger. The blazer is lined, but the cotton-linen blend keeps the blazer from feeling hot and stuffy.
These Roll Cuff Skinny Jeans are also by Draper James RSVP. You might have noticed that I am a BIG fan of this line. Usually, when I order white jeans, I will size up so that you don’t see every lump and bump. For some odd reason, I ordered a size 8, but they fit great, and you can see through them at all. I felt like the jeans were tighter than they looked on me; I think that is because I’m used to wearing relaxed jeans. These jeans come in several colors, and I also have the Kelly Green pair.
Accessories tie the look together. My Espadrille Ankle Strap Sandals are comfortable, and I love the neutral color that goes with anything. I’ve worn these with dresses, jeans, dress pants, and shorts, and they look great with all of those. They run TTS, which is under $50, so they are a great bargain. I recently did an Inside The Dressing Room try-on haul at the Coach Outlet Store, and I left grieving over not purchasing this Yellow Lane Carryall. All of you encouraged me to get the bag, and I am so glad that you did. Look how happy this handbag makes me. I smile every time I pick it up!!!
For my jewelry, I’m wearing a pair of 18 Kt. Gold Vermeil Blue Lapis Drop Earrings. I love Lapis, probably because of the vein of gold that runs through the stone. The Cross Necklace is also in 18 Kt. Gold Vermeil and I wear this daily, even to shower and sleep in. The longer necklace is one strand of the Multi-Strand Davis Necklace.
Don’t forget to stop by Jo-Lynne’s blog and check out what she is wearing. She always looks amazing, and I know you will love her style.
