HIT THE HELP BUTTON WHEN YOU ARE STRUGGLING

When I first started blogging, I didn’t know what a blog really was or how to even start one. I spent one weekend sitting on my front porch searching “how-to” articles on blogging. Since then, I’ve learned a lot about the industry, but someone is always wanting me to learn a new platform or program.

It can be overwhelming at any age, but I feel like I fall into the “Old dog” category when I’m trying to learn something new. I have a few choices when it comes to learning a new platform or program. I can see if any of my friends already have been introduced to the program and might tell me what they know. If none of them know anything, then I can move on to trying to figure it out myself, which can take hours, and I usually still find myself at a loss. Most of the time, I end up using the HELP button that is almost on any platform or program.

I’m not the first person to struggle, so the HELP button will have multiple answers to the most asked questions. Even after I read the answers, I am usually still confused and need to read the instructions numerous times. There are even times when I need to break it down into small chunks to keep from feeling overwhelmed.

All of that works great for my blog and technology, but there are times when life throws a curveball at me, and I find myself needing help. The process that I use for finding help for the blog can also work for my life. Friends who have already walked the path that I am on can give encouragement. They have already survived the issue that I need help with, and they can guide me through some pitfalls.

While our family and friends can give us encouragement and their insight on the issue, they can’t walk truly walk with us. They can provide us with a shoulder to cry on and be there when we need to talk, but the HELP button that we need can’t be found here on earth.

The good news is that we all have access to a HELP button, and it is available to use 24/7.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The Lord tells us not to worry, which can be difficult. But, this verse doesn’t say to worry about only money, health, or marriage issues. It literally says not to be anxious about ANYTHING. The Lord knows this will be difficult for us, worry seems to be my middle name. He gives us the formula for our problem, no matter what the issue might be. In EVERY situation, not just some, not just the easy problems, we are to go to the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving and present our request to Him.

This verse doesn’t say that the Lord will give you what you ask for, He isn’t a magic lamp. But, it does say the PEACE of God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Psalms 34:4

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

It looks like we have a choice to make. We can choose to continue to be worried and anxious about things we can’t control anyway, or we can go to the Lord with our requests.

Have A Blessed Day!
