SUMMER GO-TO OUTFIT
SUMMER GO-TO OUTFIT
Hello, everyone! I am back in Dallas after a whirlwind couple of days in Nashville. It was so much fun getting to see all of my friends at one time! It felt like old home week, for sure! As I said in this post, we went to the Swan Ball (as I said in this post), and there was an event each night we were there. The first night I was there, we had dinner at one of my best friend’s homes. The next night was a party for the Swan Ball’s jeweler (each year, they showcase a different one). The jewelry was to die for, and the home where the party was fabulous to see! Friday night was a smaller gathering thrown by the two chairs at a farm by a river. It was so gorgeous, and the weather couldn’t have been better! Saturday was the ball, and it was absolutely stunning. I’ve been to about five or six Swan Balls (when we lived in Nashville), but this one was exquisite! Ken Fulk designed the event, and it was magical! I absolutely loved my dress too! We did not get in bed until three am and had to catch a flight back on Sunday. When we arrived, our grandchildren were already here from Ohio! It’s going to be a hectic week!
One of my favorite summer go-to outfits is a pair of white jeans (wearing last year’s version), a tee (usually graphic), and a blazer. I live in this combo. I will wear this look during the day with sandals, flip-flops, or a sneaker, then change to a heeled sandal for the evening. This linen blazer is from Veronica Beard, and I want it in every color! I’m wearing my favorite belt (of the moment) from Clinch. These belts have interchangeable straps and come in different widths, and I have been wearing the silver strap non-stop.
Ladies, I feel like I have been on a hamster wheel lately. With the construction of our house, lots of company, helping with my grandbaby, and now my grandkids here for ten days, I feel like a blogger drop-out! I have just hired a virtual assistant that can hopefully take some of the load off me. I told my daughter-in-law this morning that I feel like a kid trying to get my homework done right before class. Thank you so much for hanging in there with me!
Have a great day! Stay well and be safe!
