TUESDAY TRY ON HAUL PERFECT FOR THE 4TH OF JULY

Today’s Tuesday Try On Haul is going to be all about the 4th of July. Instead of going to one store for my try-on haul, I’m styling clothing from multiple retailers with the 4th of July in mind. By doing this post now, you will have time to place your orders and get the clothing before the 4th arrives.

The 4th of July is one of those holidays where I like to look festive, but not like I am dressed in head-to-toe red, white, and blue. Don’t get me wrong, I love wearing stars and stripes, and the occasional flag, but I want it to be something that I could also wear at other times of the year.

Let’s start with the first outfit. This navy and white outfit is something that could be worn all summer long. I added a denim jacket to the look because some festivities last into the night. If you are going to watch fireworks, then you might appreciate a denim jacket. You won’t find a more perfect jacket for the 4th than this one.

This Classic Americana Denim Jacket is an example of what I was talking about earlier. This is a stars and stripes item, but you better believe that I’ll wear it at other times of the year. I LOVE this jacket, and if you follow me on Instagram, you might have already seen me talking about it. The quality is amazing, and I love the embroidery and beading that makes up the flag. I’m wearing a size 1, and this fits me great.

Sweater vests are trending this year, and this Navy and White Collegiate Vest are too cute! This vest is cropped, but with the trend toward high-waist pants, it doesn’t show any of my belly. You can wear this in the fall with a button-up shirt, and they look great with the hem of the shirt hanging out. I’m wearing a size medium, and that is the perfect size for me.

These Linen/Cotton Drawstring Pants are so comfortable, and I love the pull-on style. The elastic waist is great for sitting, moving around, and for expanding if you eat one too many hotdogs. Lol! I always size up when wearing white bottoms, so I’m wearing a size 10. They are relaxed, but not sloppy, so I think the fit is spot on.

I know there are some areas of the county where you won’t need a denim jacket, even at night. But, I like to show how the outfit looks with the jacket for those who would need it. There are times when I do want to wear red, white, and blue, and this outfit is another unique way to wear a flag.

Now, for the look of this outfit without the jacket. You can wear the shirt with a half-tuck like I am here, you could wear it loose, or you could do a knot on the side for a different look.

This Oars Flag Graphic Tee is so stinking cute!!! I love how the oars make up the stripes of the flag graphic, and I think this is a super cute way to look festive and patriotic. This tee is soft and comfortable, and I love tees by JCrew Factory because they are of nice quality. I’m wearing a large, and that is the size I typically order for my t-shirts.

Here is a look at the length of the tee in the back. The Navy Stretch Cotton Chino Pants are great pants that are essential for a spring/summer wardrobe. Chino pants are cool, and they have a casual vibe that still looks dressy. These pants are extremely versatile, and you will find that you can wear them with almost anything. They have a 28″ inseam, and I rolled the cuff to make them a little shorter. I’m wearing a size 8, and they still have a slightly relaxed fit.

I didn’t add much jewelry, but I am wearing a 5-Strand Stack of Bracelets in red, white, and blue. This color combination has already sold out, but a bright colorful set for summer is still available. The Kendra Scott Easton Earrings are one of the first pair that I bought from this brand. I still love them, and I have them in silver also.

Here is another 4th of July outfit, but this one doesn’t contain any flags. To make the outfit look more festive, I could add a touch of red in my accessories, or wear my red converse sneakers.

The Dark Navy and White Ribbed Crewneck Tee is another summer essential item. This striped tee is one that you can wear in so many ways, especially if you want to create the French Woman vibe. I usually order a large in a tee, but I sized up in this item since I read that it ran small. I’m wearing an XL, and that is the size I needed. So, remember to size up in this top, it does run small.

I’ve been wearing these Sperry Crest Vibe Canvas Sneakers for a couple of years. I LOVE the no-tie laces, and even though the canvas shoes get dirty, I throw them in the washer and they come out just like new. They run a little big, so I sized down to an 8 1/2 instead of my usual size 9.

I just got these white frayed hem short in a couple of weeks ago, and they are already sold out. Anything that is white sells out quickly in summer, but there are usually lots of other options to choose from. Here are two pairs by Loft that are almost identical, they just have different inseams. The pair I am wearing is a 7.5″ inseam, and the ones from Loft are 5 and 8.5.

The Navy and White Striped Satchel is trimmed in a caramel color, and I like how it pops the color. This is a cute vinyl bag that will be easy to keep clean, and a great medium size that will hold all of your essentials.
