Footwear finds from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

I had a chance to take a lap through our local Nordstrom store yesterday to check out some of the merchandise that will be included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The shoe department had some of the best items in the sale, IMO.

Sale sneakers

There are a boatload of sneakers included in the sale, but I really like the sleek , retro look of these from rag & bone. They’re offered in several colors, including this pretty blue suede (great for Summers!). This style seems to run true to size.

I’m a fan of metallic footwear, and find it quite versatile. These metallic sneakers are one of my favorite styles from Cole Haan. Silver works for Winters and Summers; there’s also a gold metallic for Springs & Autumns. They run true to size.

I know many of you are fans of these “Tulip” fabric flats, and several colors are included in the sale. This olive is a nice neutral for you Autumns. They run mostly true-to-size (some reviewers mark them as running large), though if you’re on the fence, you might want to size down as they do stretch out a little bit.

These slip-on sneakers look nice in navy, and are available in Wide widths.

Sale boots

I’ve owned the smooth leather version of these boots for a few years, and they are one of the most comfortable pairs in my closet. This year’s version is in suede, in 3 colors. Runs true-to-size.

This little bootie looks better in person than online. There’s an inside zip for easy on/off, and I think that extended heel placement is an interesting detail. It’s offered in four colors, and comes in just under $100 on sale.

I had a chance to try these booties, which are very good-looking and comfortable, and easy to slip on. I like that the shaft comes up above the ankle, great for those who live in cooler climates. There are several colors, and smooth as well as suede finishes. Runs true-to-size. Also under $100 during the sale.

Sale pumps & flats

Many of you have mentioned that you have special events coming up in the second half of this year. Here’s a dressy-not-fussy d’Orsay pump with walkable block heel. Other colors available too.

AGL flats tend to get rave reviews for comfort. This sleek dress-up-dress-down style is available in four colors.

I love the look of this sleek, minimalist loafer from Vince. The navy suede is a nice change up from black or brown. It’s also offered in black and “cappuccino” (light camel) smooth leather.
