Pick of the week: cute, comfortable, affordable shoes!

I’m a firm believer in the power of shoes to put an “exclamation point” on a simple outfit. The style doesn’t need to be elaborate or extreme or uber-trendy. Here’s a fresh take on a classic loafer that adds a nice finish to a casual outfit.

These navy patent lug-sole loafers (gifted) from SARTO by Franco Sarto are well under $100 during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They are incredibly comfortable, too! The uppers are soft, and the footbed is well padded. I love the modern edge the lug soles add, and they’re quite flexible to walk in.

I was able to wear these right out of the box, and the fit is true-to-size. (Reviews are mixed regarding sizing and width, but I found my usual 7.5 was a good fit.) There is some arch support.
