I found some seriously good stuff on sale at Madewell

Jackets

I love the mashup of classic houndstooth and a softer knit fabrication. This one seems to be selling quickly, but is still available in several larger sizes.

Here’s a single-breasted trench without a lot of superfluous detail. This warm camel color would work for Autumns and some Springs.

The slanted pockets and herringbone pattern weave are both nice touches on this sweater blazer. This style is available in both standard and Plus sizes. The “antique cream” color is great for Springs and most Autumns, and is in my cart as well.

Here’s an oversized trucker jacket in an unexpected shade of green. (I haven’t seen this one in person, so don’t know if it’s as saturated as it looks here.) It’s also offered in beige and a mauve-pink that would work for you Summers.

I just received this corduroy blazer in the chocolate brown color, and am very impressed with it. It’s not as oversized as most Madewell blazers, and I found the Small was a good fit for me. And this “faded shale” color is quite nice too, and looks like it would work for softer Autumns.

An assorted sampling of the rest

This boucle sweater vest reminds me of one I was eyeing recently on a designer website. It’s available in this “dark indigo” color shown, and a heathered brown which is currently in my cart. You could wear this on its own, over a collared shirt, and/or under a jacket.

These faux leather “jeans” can dress up or down, and are machine washable. They’re available in standard, Petite, Plus and Tall sizes in 3 colors. I think this burgundy color could be a fun alternative to black.

Here’s a simple-not-boring shoulder bag in a pretty sage color.

For those of you in wetter climates, these zip rain boots are kind of clunky-cool.

If you’ve been lug-sole-curious, here’s a pair of loafers that’s just classic enough.

The modern way to wear pearls? Casually, with some colorful beads.
