Stranger Things Star Noah Schnapp Reveals His Surprising New Job After Season 4

Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp has lined up a surprising new job after finishing work on season four of the Netflix series.

The teen, who plays Will Byers in the Netflix show, is spending his last summer before college far away from the film set—he’s actually signed up to be a lifeguard in his local town for the next few months.

“It’s kind of a ‘just for fun thing’,” he told Flaunt.

Schnapp acknowledged that, while he doesn’t need a lifeguard job from a financial perspective, he has always tried to stay grounded when not in Hollywood.

“I’ve kind of grown up with a normal life and normal friends and stuff outside of Stranger Things, so it’s kind of kept me grounded,” he said.

The 17-year-old actor frequently shares personal moments with his fans on social media, including posting a video of his family finding out he’d been accepted to the University of Pennsylvania.

Much like his co-star Millie Bobby Brown, he will be studying a new field at college as he joins the Ivy League institution’s business school.

“Acting was just kind of repetitive, and I wanted to try something new,” he explained. “Millie is doing the same thing with her schooling—she’s kind of learning about other things. I thought it would make more sense to do something different. And business was a pretty clear next thing for me.”

Both Brown and Schnapp will be starting at their universities in the fall, but plan to continue acting during school breaks. Don’t worry, they’ll be back for Stranger Things‘ final season.

Stranger Things seasons 1-4 are now streaming worldwide on Netflix.
