Relaxed fall look with a lightweight corduroy blazer

Lightweight layers are key for fall and transitional season weather. Here’s a relaxed casual outfit with a knit corduroy blazer.

Thanks to Nordstrom for their sponsorship of this post. All ideas and opinions are my own.

While it’s fun to think about and plan outfits for going out, some days this is as much “going out” as I do. I’m just not an athleisure kind of gal (reminds me too much of high school gym class) but I still want to be comfortable while looking put-together.

A casual corduroy blazer outfit

This time of year, our temperatures can swing from cool to very warm, back to cool within hours. Often, a lightweight jacket is all I need for those cool mornings and evenings, and I’m always on the lookout for throw-on-and-go styles that aren’t too fussy for daily wear. I love corduroy for fall, and the texture it adds, but it can sometimes feel stiff or bulky.

This lightweight knit corduroy blazer is soft and wears like a cardigan, but still has some structure. (And has functional pockets for dog treats and poop bags. 😜) The shoulders are dropped, so it’s roomy enough to throw on over a sweater when the weather gets cooler. It’s available in two colors, this warm brown, and a denim blue (which looks like a good color for you Summers). Sizes XX-Small to XX-Large. I’m wearing the XS. I suggest sizing down if you want a closer fit.

I’m wearing sizes XS in the jacket, XS in the top, and 27 in the jeans.

Nordstrom carries a wide range of brands and sizes, and is always my first stop when I’m looking for something specific. Shipping and returns are free, and you can even order online and pick up at your local store.
