How To Wear Jeans For The Holidays
.
Because so many of you loved my “how to wear jeans for Thanksgiving and still look stylish” post, I figured I would show you a few more outfits styling jeans for the holidays. I think most of us are dressing more casually these days, especially if we’re going to be traveling or cooking for our family.

Many of us make the mistake of thinking that we must wear red or green, especially for Christmas. You can still look festive and have a holiday vibe without wearing those colors. Today I’m wearing this Fairisle sweater in a salmon/pink color, and I think it looks very festive. The sweater colors are gorgeous browns and khaki, which could be worn any time of the year, not just for the holidays. This sweater would look great with khaki chinos, brown corduroys, or ivory pants. This sweater is a cotton blend, but it does have 5% Merino wool in the fabric. In case you might be allergic to wool, I just wanted to bring it to your attention. I’m wearing a size medium, and I think it fits me great.
This metallic down-filled puffer vest is so cute. I love this Champagne/Bronze color and was surprised at how many things I already had that look great with it. The faux-fur-collar is removable, but I think it is perfect for the holidays. I’ll link to some other sweaters I ordered that can be worn with this puffer to give you an idea of more ways to style it. Plus, this button-up shirt matches each of the sweaters and can be worn underneath them.

Here is the back view of the vest so you can see the length. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits me great, even with the sweater underneath.

I’m wearing barely bootcut jeans in moon tide wash with this outfit. Dark wash jeans look dressier than light-colored jeans, and I thought the dark wash looked great against the salmon-colored sweater. I’m wearing a size 8 in these jeans, but they feel a little tight through the waist, so if you’re between sizes, you might want to size up.

I love this Brahmin handbag. It was a gift from my husband for Valentine’s Day, although he didn’t know he was giving it to me. He also doesn’t know he’s giving me one for Christmas. LOL! I just ordered the Tabitha Brahmin bag in Alabaster since it’s a great neutral that will also look good in spring and summer.

These Santa baby earrings are so cute. My friend Airika Puckett collaborated with canvas-style jewelry and created eight different Christmas earrings. I’ll link to those for you, and you can use the code Airica-20 for 20% off.

I’m wearing a pair of faux leather block-heel pointy-toe boots that I styled recently. I like a block heel since it is easier to walk in, and a pointy toe always elongates your legs. I love this neutral color since it will match anything, but these boots are also available in gorgeous faux suede deep green. These run true to size; I’m wearing my usual size 9.

The first outfit was one I would wear for a casual Christmas, but this outfit is perfect for Thanksgiving. I love the Casual look of this outfit, and I think the color combination works great for fall, especially Thanksgiving.

If you need to travel for the holidays, I added this gorgeous Double Breasted Faux Wool Coat. I styled the Green version of this double red-breasted coat earlier, and I absolutely loved it, so I ordered this brown and white plaid coat for fall. The green coat was too big for me because this coat is oversized. I’m wearing a SMALL in the plaid version, which is still a little bit big. This is a nice heavy coat, and you can see the workmanship since all the stripes line up; that’s a big deal for many people.

I love this cable knit sweater; the Brown Heather color is gorgeous. It is warm and comfortable without being bulky. The weight of the sweater is excellent and looks like other high-end sweaters I have bought. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits beautifully without looking lumpy!

Here is the view from the back; you can see the length and that the cable knit design does not extend all the way to the back.

When I went to the Coach Outlet earlier this summer, the sales lady told me their top-selling handbag was the Pennie. I ordered this handbag a couple of weeks ago in this gorgeous brown color, and I can see why it is a top seller.

I love that it has plenty of pockets and zipper compartments and the contrast between the Suede & Leather on the handbag. This color is no longer on the website, but plenty of other colors and styles exist. Many of these are on sale, so I will try to link several below I think you might like.

I paired the sweater with a pair of high-waist flare dark wash jeans, and I think these are the most universally flattering jean for most women. These jeans have a little more flare at the bottom than the barely bootcut jeans above, but they don’t have a massive flare like he jeans from the 70s. I love the fit of these jeans, they make your legs look long and lean, and they run true to size.
