Who actually likes to workout or exercise? I know that some women love to do that, and then there are others like me who need the motivation to get up and move. Today’s affordable activewear from Kohl’s will get you moving because it’s too cute to just sit on the couch.

As you can see from my hair standing straight up in the air, it was a little windy on my walk. What you can’t see is that it was also very chilly. I added this white Quilted Puffer Vest by Levi’s, and it kept my core cozy and warm.

The Quilted Puffer Vest added just the right amount of warmth and kept my arms free to move as I walked. I ordered a large in this vest, but it is too big on me, so I’m returning it for a medium instead. This vest comes in lots of colors, but I know I’ll get a lot of wear from this white one, especially this spring. Here are a few more options for you that you might like.

The sun finally warmed me enough to drop my vest off at my car (I was doing laps around a pond by my house), and the black Performance Jacket was plenty warm enough. The jacket is one I can also wear with jeans, and it comes in lots of colors. I’m wearing a large one since this jacket style is usually very fitted.

This is my first time trying the FLX brand activewear, and I LOVE the Affirmation Colorblock High-Waisted 7/8 Leggings. These look great, and they are so soft and comfortable. The stripe down the side is a detail that makes these leggings so stylish and chic. I’m wearing a large, and this is the perfect size for me. Here are a few items by FLX that caught my eye:

I have a few pairs of running shoes, but I wanted a pair just to wear when I’m walking. This Fresh Foam Roav by New Balance is exactly what I was searching for since they are comfortable and lightweight. These shoes cradle my foot, and I like the breathable material. These shoes lace up, but they are also a pull-on style. I did have to wiggle and pull pretty hard to get my foot to slip inside, but once the shoe was on, it fits like a dream. The shoes run true to size, and I’m wearing my usual size 9.

Another day, another walk, but the same windy conditions. It has been a windy winter this year; Joe even took the paddle off my large windchime because he couldn’t sleep at night.

I’ve read that many people find that their clothing can have a psychological effect on their mindset and behavior and that wearing attractive or stylish clothing can help to boost their confidence and motivation. Since it is possible that wearing cute activewear could motivate someone to get moving or engage in physical activity, I decided to put that theory to the test. So far, it seems to be working! This outfit is exactly what the doctor prescribed to get me off the couch and onto the pavement.

I’m wearing a black Ultrasoft Fleece Jacket and a black Essential V-Neck Tee. I’ve had the black tee for several years, and I wear it a lot since it will go with anything. The jacket is like a beloved sweatshirt with a zipper. It is warm and cozy and has a nice weight, pockets, and thumbholes to keep the sleeves down if needed. I’m wearing a large, which is quite roomy. I don’t mind an oversized jacket when I’m walking, but if you want a fitted look, you need to size down.

Here is a look from the back, and you can see it has a hood which is great if it starts sprinkling while you’re walking.

I like walking with a crossbody bag, and this Geo Quilted Crossbody Bag has enough room for my phone, AirPods, and cash. I could carry more in the bag if needed, but that’s all I usually take with me on a walk. The bag has several sections inside to separate your items, and I like that it is soft and lightweight. I don’t need to carry a lot of extra weight with me while I’m walking.

You will either love or hate these mosaic print High-Waisted Ankle Leggings. I love them, and they make me smile when I put them on. With spring coming in a few months, these leggings help to lift my spirits and remind me that warmer weather will be here before I know it. I’m wearing a large, and they fit me great.

This pair has a tad more compression than the black leggings I wore in the first outfit. They also have a side pocket like I’m used to seeing on leggings, but they also have a hidden zip pocket on each side which would be an excellent place for cash or a key.

I’m wearing the same pair of Fresh Foam Roav by New Balance sneakers, and you can see that the black sneakers look great with the printed leggings.
