Cute and Casual Dresses for Women Over 50

9 total views

After a long winter of wearing sweaters and boots, I am so excited to wear dresses again…only I need to make sure to use my favorite self-tanner first, haha! In preparation for the upcoming spring weather, I have a massive haul of cute and affordable casual dresses for women over 50 that you’re going to want to add to your cart. There’s a dress in this try-on for everyone because I made sure to include a variety of lengths, necklines, and silhouettes. Let me know your favorite in the comments below!

P.S.-I brought a lot of these with me on my trip to Miami, so you will see them soon!

Are you getting in the mood for warm weather and all things spring? I think you’ll find the following posts helpful:

Casual, Colorful Dresses For Women Over 50 To Wear For Spring

1. Tie-Neck Ruffle Hem Maxi Dress

This flowy tie-neck dress comes in so many colors and prints. You can pair it with a belt to define your waist even more, and if you are self-conscience about your arms, you can add a jacket. I like this length because it’s not too long that it trips me when I’m walking, but it keeps my legs covered on those early spring days when it’s still a little cool.

2. Off-the-Shoulder Dot Maxi Dress

I grabbed this off-the-shoulder maxi dress in this beautiful blue, but it also comes in black, white, yellow, and a brownish-red. It would be so perfect to wear to a spring wedding. The lining is knee length while the dress fabric is ankle length, so it’s sheer from the new down. If you don’t like off the shoulder dresses, then don’t pull the sleeves down.

This wrap dress is super flattering because it highlights your waist at the narrowest part and then flows outward to disguise any problem areas like your tummy or hips. It is available in a ton of colors and patterns, but I thought the polka dots were so classic and timeless!

4. Off-the-Shoulder Polka Dot Maxi Dress

Speaking of polka dots, I also grabbed this off the shoulder maxi in navy and white polka dots last year! If you loved the polka dot dress above but aren’t interested in showing any cleavage, this one is a great option for you. Pair it with heels, wedges, or your favorite sandal. You can see where I wore this dress last year on a date night with my husband.

This dress would be perfect for church as it’s not low cut and is a super appropriate length. It’s a blank canvas for whatever accessories you’d like to add. A rattan belt would be so cute to add some interest and break up the pattern. You could also add a bracelet stack or a denim jacket!

6. Lace V Neck Maxi Dress

This dress is stunning! It’s a little too formal for regular day-to-day wear, in my opinion, but it would be so beautiful to wear as a wedding guest. I grabbed it in this pretty shade, but I also love the gray-blue and pink-peach for spring!

7. Halter Neck Floral Backless Maxi

I LOVE the colors of this dress! It’s so happy and fun. You’ll definitely want to grab some of the silicone coverups to wear with this one because the back prevents you from wearing a traditional bra. This would be beautiful to wear to vacation or a wedding. You’ll probably see photos of me later wearing it in Miami.

8. Crossover Halter Neck

I was unsure about this one when I saw it online, but I loved it so much that I thought I would take a chance and just order it! Luckily, it’s gorgeous and looks much more expensive than it is. It comes in several other colors and patterns, but I loved this floral magenta! This is another one that you can’t wear a traditional or even a strapless bra with, so you’ll need these.

9. A-Line Casual Dress

Every woman should have a little black dress in her arsenal. They are great for literally everything from work, to church, to funerals, to going out to dinner, and beyond! Accessories are your best friend at dressing a dress like this up or down, depending on what’s on your social calendar for the day. This material is very forgiving as it’s a little thicker, and the fit and flare silhouette is always a favorite of mine. This dress runs small; here is where you can see me wearing it in a size XL.
