Easy Lands’ End Dresses For Spring

We’ve talked about dresses a lot on the blog lately, and many of you love wearing them for warmer weather. Spring has sprung in our neck of the woods, so today, I’m styling a few easy-to-wear and casual Land’s End dresses for spring at a great price from Kohls.

Lands’ End Surplice Maxi Dress

This Land’s End surplice maxi dress fits like a dream. The overlap is designed perfectly to stay closed and not gap when you move or bend over.

I gravitated to the navy polka dot, but when I saw this fresh green, that sealed the deal. This green is trending for spring and summer and looks fresh with so many other colors. The fabric is a machine-washable cotton/modal/spandex blend that’ll be easy and cool all summer. I think you could easily dress this up or down with accessories.

The skirt is solid with an overlay that wraps over, so there’s no chance of gapping open or flashing your legs as you move about. I chose the petite medium, which fits me perfectly. It’s also available in regular length here and plus sizes here. The petite is 48 1/2″ long in sizes XS-XL. The regular is 52″ long in sizes XS-XL Tall, and the plus comes in sizes 1-3X. The fabric is substantial enough not to need a slip which is always a plus during the summer. I have a very straight figure and love the illusion of a waist that these gathers give me.

I decided on black shoes to pop against the green. White would work equally well. These Clarks wedges have a velcro strap to snug securely against your foot. I’m not sure when I began preferring the precision of a velcro strap over holes, but it could also have to do with them being easier to put on and take off 😊. These have a comfy foam footbed, and the wedge means the heel isn’t too high.

This Simply Vera bag comes in several color combos, including all black, but I opted for this natural and black to tie in with the cork of the wedges. If you wear red, it also comes in a red and natural combo. The cross-body strap does not detach, so I simply laid it inside to carry as a purse.

I topped the dress with this Simply Vera white denim jacket. It’s made from cotton/spandex stretch denim, so it’s very comfy. It comes in three colors in sizes XS-XXL. A pleasant surprise is the white buttons on the white denim, which gives a cleaner look.

Lands’ End T-Shirt Dress

This Land’s End T-shirt dress is such a great easy basic for casual days, and it’s marked down. It comes in four color stripes sizes XS-XL. I’m wearing the regular length, which is 36″. It also comes in petite here, which is 34″ long. I love that they didn’t add those worthless chest pockets that brands put on tees. What do they expect us to put in those tiny pockets?

I paired this dress with neutral beige shoes and a wicker bag. These wedges are by Dr. Scholl’s, which is known for its insole technology with foam footbed cushioning, comfort, & support. These straps are stretchy, so you just slip them on and off. Another wedge that’s easy on and easy off. They are also available in black, but I felt the brown was a softer look with the light-colored dress.

This LC Lauren Conrad wicker top handle bag is a fun shape in polypropylene straw which is much sturdier than bamboo or rattan wicker. I love the look of wicker bags in the warm weather. This is a ladylike size that you could pop into a tote if you needed to carry lots of stuff. I love the flat bottom so it stays upright when you set it down. It also comes in white or a pretty blue top and strap.

I popped this Allegra K denim jacket over the top of the dress, which has some shaping at the waist. It’s almost sold out with good reason…its unique shape and soft fabric. I think it runs small and so I suggest you size up.

These Nine West Teardrop earrings are light as a feather and make a great statement. They come in jet, aqua, or this vibrant blue with nickel-free metal.
