Banana Republic Factory: Your Guide to Affordable and Classic Fashion
Do you like shopping at outlets or factory stores? It seems like every retailer now has an outlet or factory store. Usually, the quality is a little lower than the retail store, and the prices are more affordable. One of my favorites is Banana Republic Factory. I think they specialize in affordable and classic fashion, and you’ll also find a trend or two there.
Affordable and Classic Fashion That Is Great Quality
It seems like more and more retailers are carrying paper-thin clothing. I can only assume that is a way they can cut costs, but it also cuts quality. One of the reasons that I love shopping at Banana Republic Factory is that their clothing is almost always of excellent quality. Sometimes the clothing is too heavy and thick for my liking, but I can’t knock the quality of it.
Black and white is a classic color combination. This black and white outfit is trendy but with a traditional twist.
If you are ever in a quandary about what to wear, you can always rely on black, white, or black and white. Unless your event has a theme for a specific color or print mentioned, then black and white always works. The combination is sticking, classic, chic, and stylish.
This black one-shoulder top is on trend! But I love the top because it is stylish and chic!!! I will wear this with jeans, shorts, or a flowy patterned skirt later this summer.
Here is a look from the back.
Rain is in the air! This black quilted crossbody is one that I’ve been carrying for months. The size is perfect for my phone and wallet, and it looks incredibly similar to a high-end designer bag that is way more expensive. These pull-on white SPANX flare jeans are perfect in almost every way. They fit like a glove and are also comfortable. The only fault I have with these jeans is their length. I’m 5’6″ tall and wearing 3″ wedge heels. That will give you an idea of how long these jeans are.
The clear 2-strap wedge heels are a relatively new purchase, but they are quickly becoming a favorite. They go with everything and are comfortable too. These are the first clear-strap shoes that didn’t hurt my feet.
Affordable and Classic Fashion In Dresses
I’ve worn this dress several times, and I finally was able to grab photos of it. However, it is almost completely sold out. If you like the look of this dress, you might like the exact same material and style but in a top. Here are a couple of other styles similar to this dress; I’ll link to them below.
Here is the halter tie on the dress.
I styled the dress several ways since most of you are probably like me and would wear a jacket or a blazer with the dress. Even though this is a new dress for spring, the colors remind me of fall. So, I decided to wear a camel blazer with it.
I love this classic blazer; it is a great neutral. This style of blazer is one that never goes out of style, so you will be able to wear it for years to come.
A more casual and fun look is achieved with a denim jacket. I belted the dress with a stretch belt for a more fitted look. The stretch belt is an old one, but here are several similar ones.
This denim jacket is probably my favorite. I’ve worn it repeatedly, and I love how it fits. I think every woman needs at least one denim jacket in their closet. Here is a post on the Best Denim Jackets for Women Over 50 if you are in the market for one.
This top-handle straw clutch is a newer purchase. I find myself reaching for it repeatedly because it is dressy and casual at the same time. It literally goes with everything, and I like its chic style.
I recently wore this shirtdress, but I wanted to include it in this post in case you missed it. I couldn’t do a post on affordable and classic fashion without including a shirtdress! This shirtdress is one of my favorite purchases this year. I liked it so much that I also bought the dress in the Oyster Pearl color, and I wore it to a Mother’s Day Brunch.
I chose to accessorize the black shirtdress with brown accessories. The brown straw tote with black trim looks great with the dress and coordinates with the tan wedge slide sandals.
I hope you enjoyed this post on affordable and classic fashion clothing.
